About this venue
Vannvogna Konsert & Kunsthall is a privately run culture house at Storgata 16 in Halden, operated by the association Foreningen Halden Kulturhus Vannvogna (founded 2017). The stage opened on the night before 1 May 2018 with a rock and punk double bill, and has since become one of the town's most active small concert venues. The house aims for "quality in every link" and programmes visual art, music across all genres, literature, dance, film and events for children and young people. In the daytime and at weekends the room also operates as a café and bar with a karaoke stage.The concert programme is broad: Norwegian jazz from established names and rising ensembles, singer-songwriter, folk and Americana, rock and punk, black metal and Latin/salsa nights. Vannvogna has also hosted the Halden Borderline Singer-Songwriter Festival.
