About this venue
Västerås Konserthus is run by Västmanlandsmusiken and is the home stage of the Västerås Sinfonietta orchestra. With about 200 events a year on three stages, the programme covers folk and world music, dance and new circus, pop and rock, schlager, jazz, chamber music, symphony orchestra, comedy and family shows. The Stora salen (main hall) takes up to 952 people, the Lilla salen (small hall) up to 156, and the Studion is a black box with a dance floor for dance, children's shows, workshops and talks for up to 100. The large foyer with the Foajéscenen stage can be set up in many ways for up to 1,100 people, and the small foyer takes 200. The building also has a bistro with lunch, after-work and soup-concert evenings, and a ticket office to the right of the main entrance. The house is also let to external organisers, from large concerts and congresses to small gatherings; requests go through the booking address, and the Västmanlandsmusiken site has a hire page and an enquiry form for the main hall.
