About this venue

Väven is a cultural centre in central Umeå, between Storgatan and the Ume river, opened in November 2014. It houses the city library, a children's cultural centre, studios and theatres, the cinema Folkets Bio and the Women's History Museum, with the U&Me hotel and the P5 conference floors above. Its black-box stage, Vävenscenen, has room for 400 seated or 1,000 standing visitors according to Wikipedia, and Visit Umeå describes it as having room for 400 with 300 square metres of exhibition and stand space in direct connection. Visit Umeå says the premises are booked via P5, whose conference rooms are on level 5 with the entrance in Väven Norra (Storgatan 46 A, 903 26 Umeå). The exact entrance address of the stage was not found, so only the street is stored; the other Väven tenants such as the library and the cinema are not separate listings here.
