About this venue

Verket Scene occupies historic factory premises in the middle of Verket, the redeveloped district in Moss, and the old industrial rooms give the place its character. It runs a year-round club programme — recent bills include Return Trio, the Moss power-pop band The Dahlmanns returning home after nine years, Rotlaus, the Standup Moss club nights and a two-day Oktoberfest with Dusty Cowshit and Krapfoss Hornorkester. The same rooms are hired out for conferences, with an in-house kitchen and table and chair layouts that work for both cinema-style seating and group setups, and for weddings, where the venue works with a network of partners for catering, décor, accommodation and everything else without insisting on them. The house has an 18+ age limit, with a guardian scheme for special events when the promoter allows it: the minor must be accompanied by someone of 25 or over, arranged in advance and signed for at the door, one guardian for up to two minors, with a lower age limit of 13, coloured wristbands for both, and a rule that under-18s do not stand at the front of the stage. Volunteers help run the venue.
