About this venue

Waddow Hall is a 17th-century manor house set in 178 acres of grounds overlooking the River Ribble, about a mile from Clitheroe. It served as a Girlguiding activity and conference centre from 1928 until 2023, when it was put up for sale. In 2025 it was bought by the Lancashire-based GT Foundation, working with Waddow Hall Trust and local outdoor providers, and reopened as a campsite and activity centre for schools, youth groups and the wider community. Activities on offer include abseiling, canoeing, bushcraft, raft building and zip wire.
