About this venue

Dokkhuset Scene stands in Dokkparken at Nedre Elvehavn in Trondheim, the old dockyard quarter east of the city centre. The concert hall seats 220. It can be opened towards the restaurant so that the whole ground floor becomes audience space, at which point the room is dimensioned for 450. The stage was designed to work equally well for unamplified and amplified music. Programming leans towards chamber music and jazz, new music and world music, with room for other expressions alongside; the house is a member of the Europe Jazz Network and one of the arenas of Trondheim Jazzfest. The restaurant on site seats around 80, with a varied menu and a full licence.
