About this venue
Parksalongen sits on the corner of Waldemar Thranes gate at St. Hanshaugen in Oslo, describing itself as a neighbourhood pub, concert stage, local cocktail alibi and club cellar all at once. The programme is deliberately broad, taking in everything from local indie stalwarts to Brazilian folk music and post-hardcore, by way of jazz and club nights loud enough to lift the cellar ceiling into the first floor. A regular jazz jam runs at the venue.
The bar keeps a wide selection of draught and bottled beer, wine and a substantial cocktail list, with bartenders who will attempt most things on request — juggling excepted.
Besides concerts, the cellar is hired for book launches, exhibitions, Christmas dinners and similar occasions. It is only let to groups of at least 50 people and no later than 23:00. Booking enquiries from artists and management go to a separate address from table reservations and private functions.
Opening hours are 16:00–02:00 Monday to Thursday, 15:00–03:30 on Fridays and Saturdays, and 15:00–02:00 on Sundays.
