About this venue
The Old Clubhouse is a Grade II listed pub at 3 Water Street, Buxton, directly opposite Buxton Opera House. Built in 1886 as a gentleman's club, it reopened as a public bar around 1984 and was refurbished in November 2024. Operated by Greene King, it serves real ales including a house beer, with a dining room downstairs and two further rooms and a bar upstairs. It hosts regular quiz nights on Tuesdays and is dog-friendly, welcoming families until 9pm.
