About this venue

The Royal Pier on Marine Terrace opened in 1865 as the first pleasure pier in Wales and is today a multi-venue entertainment complex. Pier Pressure is the town's best-known nightclub, recently revamped with bookable booths, a VIP party area, 4K screens, a full sound and lighting system with CO2 jets and lasers, and walk-through metal detection on the door. Alongside it are the Inn on the Pier, a refurbished pub with views across Cardigan Bay; the Upstairs Bar with seven pool tables, food and occasional live music; and a billiard bar built around shuffleboard, augmented-reality darts and other games. Free bingo and pub-quiz nights run through the week, and shuffleboard and booths can be booked online. The complex also has an arcade, a fish bar, ice cream and the Pier Garden. It has won Ceredigion's Best Bar None awards repeatedly and was a national Best Bar None winner in 2013.
