About this venue
Audio Works is a rehearsal studio at The Maltings, Westbridge, off St James Road in Northampton. It sits on the Westbridge fuel station forecourt just over the bridge from Northampton railway station, about three minutes' walk away. It has three soundproof rehearsal rooms, a kitchen, an artist lounge and an upstairs mezzanine floor, plus free Wi-Fi and free parking. Backline and PA are available to hire.
On Saturday and Sunday evenings, from 6pm to 11pm, the studio can be booked exclusively as "The Mezz" for technical rehearsals or a private live gig, single or album launch, or live-stream event. The studio is recommended for up to 80 guests, and the mezzanine itself holds about 30 including the band and equipment. A fully licensed, stocked bar is included in the hire, house equipment comes at no extra cost, and the venue manages entry and security; the studio must be vacated by 11pm. Audio Works also runs its own occasional live music nights (18+), and offers daytime meeting space and desk hire.
