About this venue

Birkenhead Central Library on Borough Road is Wirral's main library and also houses Wirral Archives. Its regular programme includes Shared Reading, a monthly Singing Café, reading groups, Baby Bounce & Rhyme, a family history helpdesk, an after-school club, Lego sessions and Sounds as You Browse, alongside the Wirral Repair Café on the first Saturday of the month.

Rooms in the building are available for hire through the library service; the council publishes no capacities or rates, so these are settled by enquiry. The library is open Monday to Saturday and closes for lunch between 1pm and 2pm.
