About this venue
The Bürgerhaus Zähringen in the north of Freiburg opened in 1992 and is used for social, cultural and political events. The ground floor holds a hall of 440 m² that two sliding walls divide into a core hall of 220 m², an extended version, or two smaller rooms of 90 m² each; a stage 12 m wide and 8 m deep adjoins the large hall layouts. A 70 m² foyer serves as entrance and catering area next to an office kitchen.
Upstairs, a 90 m² gallery adds audience capacity, and two group rooms of 60 m² each can be split into four rooms of 30 m². The basement has a rehearsal room for the district's music societies. Touring formats such as the International Ocean Film Tour and true-crime evenings are booked into 2027. Seating capacity is not published.
