About this venue

The Bürgerräume Stuttgart-West occupy the first floor of the Bürgerzentrum West on Bebelstraße, a civic building that also houses the district library. Run by the MTV Stuttgart 1843 e.V. as managing association, they are the home base of many clubs and organisations in Stuttgart-West and are let for events of all kinds under the city's terms. The main room is the Otto-Herbert-Hajek-Saal: about 335 m² with a 5 m ceiling, parquet floor, a large north-facing window front with views towards the Killesberg, and an adjoining terrace that can be used for events. It has a fixed screen, a partition wall that splits it into two rooms, and a PA system, lighting and stage elements stored next door. Seating layouts range from 360 seats in rows, 300 with a 50 m² stage and 240 at tables, to 600 standing. Three smaller rooms named after local personalities (Sophie-Knosp-Raum, Wilhelm-Emil-Fein-Raum, Julie-Siegle-Raum), a kitchen and a foyer complete the suite, with a piano and projectors available. The U2 and U9 stop Schwab-/Bebelstraße and a large car park are next to the building.
