About this venue

The Büsingpalais at Herrnstraße 82 is described by the city as Offenbach's most representative building. It was built in 1775/76 as a three-wing town palace for the snuff manufacturers Bernard and d'Orville, and takes its name from the heir Adolf von Büsing, who had the old manor rebuilt as a neo-baroque palace between 1901 and 1907. The city bought it around 1920 and used it as the town hall until it was destroyed in 1943; the central block stood as a ruin until its reconstruction was celebrated on 21 September 1984. Since then it has been a popular place for celebrations, seminars, conferences and weddings. Today the palais is part of a hotel complex with the Sheraton Offenbach Hotel and mainly offers meeting rooms: the hotel lists ten meeting rooms for 9 to 450 participants in the historic palais, booked through the hotel's events team. Its large hall is also used for city events, and the ground floor holds the registry office's wedding hall, which reopened in January 2026 after two years of renovation of the building.
