Byrne Avenue Baths

Byrne Avenue Baths is a Grade II listed 1930s bath house on Byrne Avenue in Rock Ferry, Birkenhead - a broad red-brick block with a pedimented stone-columned centrepiece - saved from demolition by local residents and reopened as a community hub run by the Byrne Avenue Trust, a registered charity. It has a sports hall, community rooms and the Slipper Baths Cafe, and its licence covers live and recorded music, so it runs ticketed events, parties, film clubs and a local food fair alongside fitness classes.

Two spaces are let by the hour, to community groups, sports clubs and private individuals alike. The Sports Hall is a large, light room marked out for football, netball and badminton and also used for trampolining, craft fairs and other events. The Old Laundry is a refurbished community room for parties, meetings, workshops and training, fitted with audio-visual equipment. No capacity figures are published for either room, so neither is recorded here as a bookable space with layouts.
