Cargo Theater

The Cargo-Theater, part of Freiburg's independent theatre scene since 1992, has had its own permanent venue since 2024: the H15 at Haslacher Straße 15 in the Haslach district. The building combines a theatre space, a rehearsal studio and a foyer with a theatre café, and is described by the city's tourism office as step-free. The programme covers children's and youth theatre, evening productions, guest performances, workshops and cultural education, often improvisation-based work with the body, objects and space. The house also hosts occasional concerts, such as a set during Freiburg's Jazz Minigipfel and garden concerts at the 2026 season opening, and runs a weekly circus and theatre workshop for children. Seating capacity is not published.
