About this venue
The Carlton Club occupies Rowan Lodge on Carlton Road in Whalley Range, south Manchester, and has been the club's home for over a century. It is a non-political, non-religious members' club that has grown into one of the area's main grassroots venues.
The spacious main room has a stage and hosts live music and club nights alongside film showings, live comedy, art classes and spoken word evenings. A separate Green Room is used for art exhibitions and smaller gatherings, and there is a fully licensed bar serving local craft beer and cask ale plus an outdoor community garden. It is a Manchester Jazz Festival and Chorlton Arts Festival venue.
There is currently no step-free access to the indoor areas.
