About this venue
The Studio is the smaller of the two performance spaces at Chelmsford Theatre on Fairfield Road, alongside the main auditorium. It was known for many years as the Cramphorn Theatre or Cramphorn Studio and is still widely listed under that name.
It takes smaller-scale touring theatre, music, dance and lunchtime concerts. The venue is run by Chelmsford City Council, which also operates the Coval Lane Studios elsewhere in the city.
