About this venue
CISWO Glenrothes is a members' social club at 390 South Street in the town's Collydean area, operating under the name of the Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation - the national charity, founded in 1920 and a registered charity since 1995, that supports former coal miners, their families and mining communities. The building replaced the organisation's older club on North Street.
The club has a bar and a function hall and appears as a ticketed venue for gigs and club nights in Glenrothes. It is a separate operation from Rothes Halls, the OnFife arts venue about a kilometre away in the town centre.
