About this venue
The surviving headstocks and power house of Clipstone Colliery, which worked from 1922 to 2003 and carried the tallest headstocks in the world. The site is run by volunteers as a mining, military and industrial heritage museum, with guided tours every Friday from March to October, and the buildings are used for concerts, shows, circuses and festivals.
