About this venue
The Coliseum Theatre is a 1930s art deco performing arts venue in the village of Trecynon, Aberdare, run by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council since opening in September 1938. It has a 600-seat auditorium and cinema, and has hosted a wide variety of performances - punk band Crass's final concert took place here, and in March 1996 a young Stereophonics (then performing as Tragic Love Company) played an early gig that led to their record deal with V2 Records.
