About this venue

Delapré Abbey is a Grade II* listed house set in around 550 acres of parkland off London Road on the southern edge of Northampton. Its period rooms, walled garden, courtyard and lawns are let for civil ceremonies, wedding receptions and other private events, with in-house catering, a bridal suite and guest parking. It is licensed by West Northamptonshire Council for civil ceremonies in ten rooms, from the Dining Room and Conservatory (120 each) and Drawing Room (100) down to smaller rooms such as the Library and Tudor Kitchen, with the Courtyard and Walled Garden as linked outdoor areas. A marquee can be set up on the lawns for larger parties. The grounds also host large ticketed open-air concerts in summer. In July 2026 these included Wet Wet Wet and ABC with Marc Almond, a Wilkinson bill with Tinie Tempah, Ms. Dynamite and Sigala, and Five. The Orangery, a café run on the same site, is part of the house rather than a separate venue.
