About this venue
The Duke of York's Theatre opened on St Martin's Lane in 1892 as the Trafalgar Square Theatre, taking its present name in 1895 in tribute to the future King George V. It seats 646 across three levels — stalls, royal circle and upper circle.
The Ambassador Theatre Group bought the theatre in 1992, and it has been the group's London headquarters since.
