About this venue
Eric Ericsonhallen, at Kyrkslingan 2-4 on Skeppsholmen, is a concert and event hall in the former Skeppsholmskyrkan, a church building deconsecrated in 2001, and is named after the Swedish choral conductor Eric Ericson. The operator describes a free floor area of 600 square metres under a domed ceiling, with views towards the Royal Palace and Gamla Stan. It is let for concerts, banquets, conferences, fairs, weddings and memorial events, and has a public programme of candlelight concerts and The Jazz Room series. For concerts the acoustics can be adjusted with an acoustic canopy and sound-absorbing curtains, and the hall has a Steinway D grand piano, a limited set of quality microphones, a dressing room for about 40 people and two side galleries that can also be used. Hire is arranged through the operator, Skeppsholmsgruppen, which does not allow outside catering for weddings and parties.
