About this venue
Fasching is a concert room, club, restaurant and bar at Kungsgatan 63, open since 1977 and billed as Scandinavia's largest promoter of jazz. It presents over 250 to 300 concerts and around a hundred club nights a year for roughly 80,000 guests, with a capacity of 350. The club is owned by the Swedish Jazz Musicians' association (FSJ) and by its audience through the members' association Faschings Vänner. The premises date from a 1938 dance hall with a surviving balcony. Besides jazz the programme includes soul, funk and disco club nights, children's concerts and Christmas concerts, and the foyer bar sometimes has free live music.
