About this venue
The Forum Theater sits in the centre of Stuttgart, in the Forum 3 building on Gymnasiumstraße, and has 120 seats. Until 2008 it was run by Forum 3 e.V.; since then it has been a non-profit company funded by the city's Kulturamt, the Mahle Stiftung and the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts.
A pool of freelance professional actors, directors and designers usually brings three new in-house productions to the stage each season. The repertoire covers classics and modern classics, contemporary plays and novel adaptations, complemented by guest performances — musical evenings, comedies with depth, clown pieces and the recurring visits of Famiglia Dimitri from Ticino. The theatre bar opens an hour before performances, in the interval and afterwards, and the Forum Café serves snacks and meals.
