About this venue
Frankenstein is a themed bar and late-night venue occupying a converted 19th-century church on George IV Bridge in Edinburgh's Old Town, run by Glendola Leisure. The interior is built around Mary Shelley's novel, and on the hour the show combines lighting, sound effects and an animatronic monster descending from the ceiling.
It hosts live music, DJs and Edinburgh Festival Fringe programming, and holds a late licence until 1am Monday to Thursday and 2am Friday to Sunday.
