FREDENHAGEN

FREDENHAGEN is an industrial complex of more than 100 years at Sprendlinger Landstraße 193–195 in Offenbach. The FREDENHAGEN company moved here from Waldstraße in 1904 with 200 employees; from the 1920s it concentrated on conveyor systems for the car industry, hoists and lifts, which were built on the site until 2009. Since 2015 it has been one of the event locations managed by spaces mgt GmbH. The central space is the Alter Stahlbau, a 2,800 m² former production hall 9.5 m high with built-in heavy-duty cranes, large roller doors and exposed pipework; the separable Neuer Stahlbau (1,600 m², 8.9 m high) can be added for larger set-ups, together with an 1,800 m² outdoor area with lawn and the small Alte Säge room. The operator gives a total capacity of up to 3,600 people. It is let for product presentations and launches, car events and roadshows, trade fairs and conventions, conferences, company parties, summer festivals and gala dinners; no public programme of its own is listed.
