About this venue
Galeri is a £7.5m creative enterprise centre on Doc Victoria, on the banks of the Menai Strait in Caernarfon, officially opened in April 2005. It houses a theatre and cinema seating 394, an art space, two large rehearsal studios and two smaller rehearsal rooms, meeting rooms, business units and the Cei Llechi café bar. A 2018 extension added two dedicated cinema screens (119 and 65 seats), a new entrance and box office, a workshop space, an exhibition area and a further meeting room.
Its year-round programme spans theatre and touring Welsh-language companies, live music from folk to classical and tribute shows, the Galeri comedy club, wrestling, outdoor-film tours and the latest film releases. Galeri also lets its spaces for meetings, conferences, launches, training, award nights and weddings for 2 to 400 people: the theatre can lose its stalls seating for a flat floor or be laid out cabaret-style for up to 150, and full technical support, in-house catering and a late licence are available.
