The George Inn
London's last galleried coaching inn, on Borough High Street, with live music heats and a courtyard.
About this venue
The George Inn is the last remaining galleried coaching inn in London, standing in a courtyard off Borough High Street in Southwark. The seventeenth-century building is owned by the National Trust and run as a pub by Greene King, and is mentioned in Dickens's Little Dorrit.
The courtyard and galleries are used for events, and the pub hosts live music, including heats of Greene King's Untapped Battle of the Bands, as well as televised sport. No room capacities are published, so no spaces are recorded here.
