About this venue

GöteborgsOperan is the opera house on the Göta älv waterfront in central Gothenburg. It stages opera and musicals, dance, concerts and children's and youth productions on its Stora scenen (main stage) and Lilla scenen (small stage). Parts of the building can be hired for events: the foyer takes standing receptions of up to 1,200 guests, the restaurant seats up to 450 for a three-course dinner or 200 for a buffet, and Operabaren holds up to 200. Hire can include food and drink, musicians or entertainers, a small raised stage, sound equipment, presentations and guided tours, and events are tailored to each client. The public entrance is on Operagatan; the street address is Christina Nilssons gata.
