About this venue
Gulbenkian is the University of Kent's arts centre, on Giles Lane on the Canterbury campus. It programmes theatre, dance, comedy, music, film and work for children and young people for the public as well as for students and staff.
Three spaces are offered for hire: the theatre, seating 340 with three wheelchair spaces; the cinema, seating 300 including three wheelchair spaces and equipped for HD and 3D screening; and the cafe bar, a flexible room for which the operator publishes no capacity. The Colyer-Fergusson Hall stands next door and is a separate building with its own listing; its tickets are sold through the Gulbenkian box office, which is why the two are often confused.
