Hackney Town Hall is the London Borough of Hackney's civic building on Mare Street, opened in 1937 to a design by Lanchester and Lodge and one of London's best surviving examples of civic art deco. The council hires it out through Hackney Venues.
Five spaces on the civic floor are let for weddings, receptions, conferences and performances: the Assembly Hall, which has its own entrance and twin curved staircases, original 1930s chandeliers and a sprung dance floor, the Council Chamber, the Committee Rooms, the North Atrium and the Civic Suite. The Assembly Hall can be divided into three with its original floor-to-ceiling partitions.

Standing 550 from the VenueScanner hire listing, which also gives theatre 420, cabaret 300, boardroom 20 and classroom 12. Hire Space gives 120 theatre for the same room, so the seated figure is contested and is not recorded. The council publishes no capacity on any page readable here.
