Hampton Court Palace

Hampton Court Palace is a former royal residence on the north bank of the River Thames in East Molesey, Surrey, begun for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey in 1515 and later expanded by Henry VIII and, in the Baroque era, by William III and Mary II. Since 1838 it has been open to the public and is now cared for by the independent charity Historic Royal Palaces, which also manages the Tower of London and Kensington Palace.

Alongside its role as a major heritage attraction, the palace operates as an event venue through the Historic Royal Palaces hire-a-venue programme. The Cartoon Gallery is the only room within the palace available for daytime corporate hire; the Garden Room offers a more contemporary setting for conferences and away days with AV and Wi-Fi; and the Great Hall, with its Tudor tapestries and hammer-beam ceiling, is used for evening events. The palace grounds also host large public events such as the annual Hampton Court Palace Festival and Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival.
