About this venue
Theater Harrys Depot is the home stage of the Freiburg ensemble "Harry, hol schon mal den Wagen!", which opened it at the beginning of 2008 in the Spechtpassage off Wilhelmstraße. With a maximum of 40 seats it is the city's smallest theatre, putting the audience very close to the action.
The ensemble also plays outdoors: in 2026 it staged Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor as an open-air production in the Spechtpassage in July and in the Ebnet castle park in September. Advance tickets are sold at the Jos Fritz bookshop at Wilhelmstraße 15; reservations are taken by email or phone, and the support association Theater Wagen e.V. has promoted Freiburg's independent culture since 2006.
