About this venue
Haus 37 is the district centre of Vauban in the south of Freiburg, run by the Stadtteilzentrum Vauban 037 e.V. Together with Alfred-Döblin-Platz it forms the social and cultural heart of the district: it houses neighbourhood initiatives, a restaurant, nurseries and a youth centre, and residents use it for birthdays, anniversaries and weddings.
Saal A, the larger hall, is used for parties and cultural events and has a bar, a kitchen and tableware; it holds up to 99 people. Saal B, 80 m², seats up to 60 for talks, meetings and conferences. Regular cultural events in Saal A, programmed as 'Soku 37' (socio-culture in Haus 37), include theatre, readings, children's cinema and music, among them shows for young audiences such as the Silent Cosmonauts collective in October 2026. The building is step-free. The association lets only its two halls directly; other rooms are let by the initiatives that use them. The office is open on weekdays from 9:00 to 12:00.
