About this venue

Heebie Jeebies is a late-night indie bar and nightclub at 80-82 Seel Street in Liverpool's Ropewalks, run by Pub Invest Group. It is split across hidden rooms, dimly lit bars, a graffiti-covered courtyard and a basement dancefloor, and its own description is "a late-night institution built on music" — indie anthems, disco and alternative club nights. It opens 5pm to 3am Tuesday and Wednesday, 5pm to 4am Thursday, 3pm to 4am Friday, 1pm to 4am Saturday and 3pm to 3am Sunday, and serves pizza alongside the bar.

The basement live room, long known as EBGBS, now trades as Tunnel. The operator describes it as the place for "all things grassroots and beyond" and names alt-J, Circa Waves, Charlotte Church, The Murder Capital, Japanese Breakfast, Red Rum Club, Crawlers, Frank Turner, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly and Stone among the artists who have played it. When the Zanzibar closed in November 2025, press reported its live programme moving here.

Tunnel is hired directly for gigs and club nights through a form on the venue's site, and the rest of the building — its several rooms and booths — is offered for private hire free of charge for parties and work dos. Booth packages and cocktail masterclasses are also sold. No capacity figure is published for any room, including in the operator's own Tunnel hire brochure.

The premises hold two Liverpool City Council licences, both to Pub Invest Group Limited, which between them permit live music, recorded music, performance of dance, the exhibition of film and facilities for making music and dancing, until 5am or 6am depending on the night.
