About this venue

Hovet opened in 1955 as an open-air ice rink named Johanneshovs Isstadion, received its roof in 1963 and was officially renamed Hovet in 1989. It is one of Stockholm Live's six arenas in the Globen area of Johanneshov and is home ground to AIK Hockey and Djurgården Hockey. Alongside the hockey season it hosts rock, metal and pop concerts, with room for roughly 9,000 people at concerts depending on stage position and layout (about 8,100 for sport). The arena is also let for conferences, TV galas and gala dinners, with an arena floor of 1,800 sqm. Bookings go through Stockholm Live; the Quality Hotel Globe and the metro are a few minutes' walk away.
