Independent

Independent is a dedicated live music venue and club on Holmeside in Sunderland city centre, with a large stage and an intimate room. It describes itself as a venue, a disco and a drinking den, and is the home of The Blue Pint.

The programme runs touring and local bands several nights a week alongside regular club nights, and the venue has a long record of giving Sunderland bands their first stage. No capacity is published by the operator, so none is recorded here.
