Indigo

Indigo is an independent cafe and community venue at 136 Bedford Road in Rock Ferry, Birkenhead, opened in 2023 by a brother and sister team. Above the street-level cafe are a community hall and art studios available to hire, and the upper floor carries a programme of well-being classes, art events, quiz and film nights, and live music for local bands. Its Open Mic and Noodle Night runs on the third Thursday of the month.

The operator lets four spaces, listed on its own Booking Spaces page: the Main Venue, an open room under exposed roof trusses used for gigs, workshops and long-table events; the Den, used for hot-desking and holistic therapies; the Yarden, a walled back yard run as a community gardening club and used for summer garden events; and the Artist Studios. Bookings are arranged by conversation with the team rather than from a rate card, and no capacity is published for any of the four, so none is recorded here. The cafe opens Tuesday to Friday 8am to 3pm and at weekends from 9am, closed Monday, with the noodle bar opening Thursday and Friday evenings at 6pm.
