About this venue
Just Beer Micropub is a micropub in Swan & Salmon Yard off Castle Gate, a few yards from Newark Castle and the town lock. Opened in August 2010, it concentrates on cask ale, cider and perry, with craft beer added in 2019, and has served more than 5,000 different cask ales. It runs three beer festivals a year. The pub has been Newark CAMRA Town Pub of the Year ten times, Nottinghamshire Pub of the Year in 2012, 2017 and 2018, and East Midlands Regional Pub of the Year in 2012 and 2017.
