Knaresborough Castle
About this venue
Knaresborough Castle stands on the cliff above the River Nidd in the centre of Knaresborough. The ruined medieval castle is owned by the Duchy of Lancaster and maintained by North Yorkshire Council, and its grounds are open as a public park all year.
The grounds are used for events: free band concerts on Sunday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm between late May and early September, and the town's Easter Fayre over Good Friday and Easter Saturday. The Courthouse Museum stands in the same grounds. No capacity is recorded: the council publishes none.
