About this venue
Kulturhuset Husnes stands at Sentrumsvegen 37 in Husnes, the largest settlement in Kvinnherad, and is the municipality's arena for culture and entertainment. The main room, Sal 1, seats 453 and doubles as the town's cinema screen, so film runs alongside the live programme.
The programme is broad for a house this size: touring theatre from Teater Vestland, ballet companies such as Grand Kyiv Ballet, concerts and regular cinema. There is a café in the building and gift cards are sold for the programme.
Rooms are hired out on the municipality's short-term rates. Municipal units pay no room rent, only staff costs and any extra cleaning, and voluntary organisations running training or rehearsals for under-19s get the premises free; the house manager can make exceptions to the standard rates case by case.
