About this venue
The Kulturzelt is a concert tent put up every summer on a paved square next to the Drahtbrücke over the Fulda, close to the documenta-Halle and the Orangerie, with a neighbouring beer garden. For about a month each year it hosts artists from around the world across soul, jazz, indie, pop, punk, folk and classical music; the 2026 season ran from 12 June to 11 July with acts including Bonaparte, Mine, Rainbirds, Apparat, the Moses Yoofee Trio and Sleaford Mods. Since summer 2019 the tent has been run by Zeltkultur, a non-profit company.
Diary note: this is a seasonal site that stands only during the summer festival; outside the season there is no tent or programme. Wheelchair users are asked to contact the organisers before buying tickets because wheelchair places are limited, a few disabled parking spaces are marked on the Auedamm, holders of a "B" disability pass bring a companion free, and a guarded bicycle park is available.
