About this venue
The Leicester Square Theatre stands on Leicester Place, the short street running north from Leicester Square beside Notre Dame de France. It is an independent house best known for stand-up comedy and cabaret, but its programme also takes in music, dance, drama, book launches and podcast recordings.
The main auditorium seats around 400, with cinema-style seating, air conditioning and a full lighting rig, sound desk, projector and screens in situ. There are two bars at the back of the auditorium and a smaller lounge bar downstairs, which the theatre runs to a strictly enforced capacity of 50.
The building is offered for hire for full-scale theatrical runs, comedy, corporate conferences and filming; enquiries go to the theatre's hires mailbox.
