About this venue
Lunds stadsteater is the city's municipal guest-performance stage, part of the Lunds Folkets hus building and built in the 1969 conversion to plans by Hans Westman. The theatre does not produce its own shows: external promoters rent it for international and local stand-up, dance, theatre, musicals, concerts and student spex. The auditorium seats 489 (410 in the stalls and 81 in the balcony according to Wikipedia). Visitors are offered a staffed cloakroom (20 SEK), a theatre café open before shows, a hearing loop covering nearly all seats and wheelchair places on row 16; the balcony is reached by stairs only. Tickets are sold through Tickster and Visit Lund, and the City of Lund takes stage bookings.
