About this venue
Since opening in 2018 the marinaforum on Johanna-Dachs-Straße has combined a heritage-listed building with modern technology and a sustainability focus as one of Bavaria's most modern event centres, for congresses, conferences, trade fairs, cultural and corporate events. It is operated by Regensburg Tourismus GmbH, a subsidiary of the City of Regensburg, and its building and management are BREEAM certified. It was designed to be barrier-free with the city's advisory council for people with disabilities.
The heart of the house is the Großes Forum, which with the gallery and its raked seating platforms covers 608 square metres and takes up to 1,000 standing, 750 seated in rows or 500 at banquet tables; it can be divided. The Kleines Forum (142 square metres) takes up to 330 standing or 170 seated, and eleven combinable workshop rooms, exhibition areas with a mobile bar and an open gallery complete the house. Hybrid events, catering and equipment are offered in-house. The public programme for 2026/27 includes ballet, comedy tours, a Christmas show and choir concerts.
