About this venue
The Messegelände Hannover, run by Deutsche Messe AG in the south-east of the city, is one of the world's largest exhibition grounds. It covers about 500,000 m² with 24 halls and pavilions and about 58,000 m² of open-air space. It hosts trade fairs, and also large concerts, festivals and sporting events such as the German Classics show-jumping tournament. The EXPO 2000 wooden canopy, a 16,000 m² roof over four pavilions, is also used for concerts and exhibitions.
