moviESCAPE Stockport

moviESCAPE has run movie-themed escape rooms on the ground floor of Welkin Mill, a Victorian cotton mill in Bredbury, since 2016. Twelve experiences are built and designed by filmmakers, among them SAWtopsy, Haunted House II: Demon's Curse and Merlin's Magic Academy, each played against a one-hour clock.

Alongside the games the operator runs a business programme — team-building, away days with meeting rooms and lunch, workshops in podcasting and creative writing, and networking events including quizzes and live podcast recordings. The Escape Lounge in reception serves drinks and snacks. Individual rooms take a maximum of eight players each and larger groups are rotated or split; no whole-venue hire capacity is published, so no space is recorded.
