About this venue
The Museum Vaults, known locally as The Vaults, is a Grade II listed Victorian pub on Silksworth Row dating from about 1867. A former Vaux house, it has been run by the same family for more than forty years and has twice been Sunderland & South Tyneside CAMRA branch Pub of the Year.
Up to three hand-pulled beers are served alongside a range of cans and bottles. The pub holds regular live music and is a mainstay of the Sunderland punk scene, with bands on Sunday afternoons and early opening on Sunderland home-match days.
